One weekend trip to Venice... about 1900 miles by the time I changed the oil upon return. Punched it at least a couple of times; 0 issues so far, minimal to 0 oil compsumption and running like a champ! Knock on wood...

M division should come up with a ED program where the M division does a "M Break-In" of the car. This way, when you come for the visit, you can actually drive the car all-out on the Autobahn and Nürburgring...
Heck, I'd throw some money at an option that had a "M Pre Break-In" that promised the car had been broken to perfect M specs by M drivers/ engineers and is ready to drive to 8400 rpm out the gates! |

One day. Picked it up at the PC in South Carolina, and drove back to New York by way of Indiana ( headed west to do the Tail of the Dragon and then just followed the flow).

I got my AA Exhaust earlier this week from sonic motorsports from the $$ i made from selling all my old 335 mods and will prob throw that puppy on after the dealer does his thing at 1200 miles. Eventually plan on maybe a tune and Xpipe with HFC's but that will have to wait a while. The one downside to the ///M is that the mods are fricken expensive. |

+1 Almost the same thing. @ 1,200 miles, opened-it up between Berlin and Munich. Drove short distance for 130 mph, then for awhile at 110 mph. - V .

You may want to consider a European Delivery for your next BMW.
Anyhow, when you are one of these roads with this sign: And you see this sign: Then it's as fast as you can safely travel for the road and traffic conditions. There are recommended speeds, and there are limits that manufacturers place on their vehicles: From Wikipedia: The German autobahns form the nationally coordinated motorway system in Germany. In German, they are officially called Bundesautobahn (plural Bundesautobahnen, abbreviated 'BAB'), which translates to "federal expressways". German autobahns have no general speed limit, but the advisory speed limit (Richtgeschwindigkeit) is 130 kilometres per hour (81 mph). From Wikipedia: Some cars with very powerful engines can reach speeds of well over 300 km/h (190 mph). Most large car manufacturers, especially the German ones, follow a gentlemen's agreement by electronically limiting the top speeds of their cars – with the exception of some top of the range models or engines – to 250 km/h (155 mph). These limiters can be deactivated, so speeds up to 300 km/h (190 mph) might arise on the German autobahn, but due to other traffic, such speeds are generally not attainable. Most unlimited sections of the autobahn are located outside densely populated areas. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/German_autobahns - V .

Did the first year stock ( 12000 miles and 14 track days) and now 1 year (12000 more miles and 16 more track days) with the 535. Very happy with it. Improves highway mileage over stock ( yeah, that's why I got it...).

Under 6000 rpms for about the first 500 miles, but I did rev it hard up to that point and did a lot of engine braking. Up to 7000 rpms for the next 300 miles or so with a few redlines. Drove it hard after about 900-1000 miles. Got 10000 miles now. No issues and zero oil consumption.
