2002 E46 M3; 25,XXXmi.; 6-spd; $30k firm - Sacramento, CA
2002 Dinan M3 25,1XX miles 6-speed manual Silver on Grey Custom full front coverage clearbra (full hood, full fenders, bumper, headlights, foglights), computer cut coverage on mirrors No front license plate holes Harmon Kardon sound system with single CD player head unit Car cover Tires replaced less than 10k miles ago (Hankook Ventus V12 Evo) Clear title No accidents, no stories Second owner since 14,400 mi. Garage kept under the cover on a battery tender when not being driven Updated LED tailllights Dinan front strut bar Dinan Stage 3 suspension (camber plates, shocks, springs, adjustable anti-roll bars, bushings) Dinan muffler Dinan wheels Asking $30k firm. I don't have to sell, but am ready to let it go because of the family size and the fact that I just don't get to enjoy this car that much anymore. It was our second car after the Acura MDX for a while, but since we got the Acura RL, this car is rarely driven. That being said, I am considering trades for a Porsche Cayman S with less than 35k miles for equal value trade. If I'm going to have a car I rarely drive, it might as well be a two seater sports car. Maybe someone has a Cayman S that needs a four seater instead? Additional pictures available on request: |

I know it's in the upper range. I think it will really come down to whether someone wants a clean low mileage car versus one that has higher mileage and wear, but more extensive modifications. I sold my 911 RS America to get the M3 when my kids were a little younger and we needed a second car with additional seating. The M3 can't be beat as an all-arounder. Now that we have the RL, I wouldn't mind letting the M3 go for another sports car. But, I don't have to sell, so I'm okay with holding onto it if nobody wants it for the price I want. Thanks for the well wishes.

You do know that this is a $15k car at best right? $30k is not the "upper range", it's 2x the value of the car. Could I be wrong? Sure. Cars are worth what someone is willing to pay. GLWS

Way too high for the car. We have an even nicer ZCP E46 M3 for sale here in Canada (which has way inflated prices for BMWS - Ms especially) with less mileage and it's asking $30K and won't even get anywhere near that.
GLWS.

Like many things, the marketplace varies at any given time. And value is a very individualized thing. While I disagree with your "$15k at best" valuation and know a car is not the value of the sum of the parts (Dinan or otherwise), this is just another car on the market and should not occupy your time anymore than the next if you're not in the the market for it and you think it's well overpriced.
But, whether you think the price is too high or not, really shouldn't prompt you to respond with snide remarks or insults, especially when you don't know someone or even had the opportunity to met them before. |

OP,
You may want to re-evaluate your asking price to garner more positive interest in your car, if you are really serious about letting it go. Additional pictures would help too, without us having to request them. KBB and NADA place your car in the low 20's. Edmunds even less than that. Not sure what you value your mods at. The mileage on your car is nice, but it is still a 9-10 year old car. As a point of comparison, I am looking into a 2004 M3 with the same options and half the miles of yours, and the asking price is the same. Looks like you have taken good care of the car - good luck with the sale! -JM |

Interested in your car I'm also in the sac area but not interested in paying more than 22k, 30k might be worth it if it were super/turbocharged if your interested let me know ASAP. Thanks
