I'm planning to leave right after lunch - non-stop meetings until then :-(. I'll give Sawzall a call once I get to highlands for the BBQ.

In related news, just got a delivery date confirmed on the GT3

It's January 2, so I will not have patience to postpone it till spring to do Euro delivery . Well, there is always next time. Time to put a deposit on 2020 Euro delivery with Pagani (joking!)

Another awesome weekend at Calabogie! Great track and great people! We pretty much had the track to ourselves!

Sawzall was flying on his Rcomps!

Calabogie was awesome. The Trofeo R are amazing tires - I was three seconds faster than my previous best, and there is still tons of room to improve. Ahsanh was also flying around the track.

I ran a bunch of laps in the 2:24.x time range, with the best being a 2:24.45. Here's some video for those that have requested video evidence of the times. Laps 7-8 are the quickest laps in this video.

But more important than that, who would have thought Jaypod was an awesome cook!? The dude cooks a mean steak, and the dude can whip up some good eggs.

Looks like a nice chase catching a red M3 during laps 4 & 5

Here is video of the same session, you pass me at the end of lap 4 and lap 5 was my best ever as I was then chasing you.

I definitely hope these are not my BEST laps - the lines are all messed up. your line is better practically everywhere, except maybe temptation and 14. My fast lap was faster only because I was more aggressive on throttle, hence sliding everywhere.

AhsanH was flying - I am going to have to buy a faster car so I dont have to give him the point by Maybe a 12C is in the future!

And - you gotta eat right!

Great weekend - looking forward to the next one!

^ There's an easy solution to that one, without buying a 12C. On the first lap, drive balls out while the session is under a yellow flag still, and get right up on his bumper. Then sit there while he mirror drives and goes off!

I like Jay's other tactic better - driving slowly for some time to lead you to believing that you are going to pass him, and then taking off, leaving you wondering what just happened. And when I say "you" I do not mean "one" but rather "you, Sawzall". At least that's how Jay tells that story...

A lot of people tell stories, and others get fussed about passing. At the end of the day, i'll let my video and telemetry (without asterisks) do the talking.

If anyone did better, let's see some video - and yes, that's a call out.

Well, I did not say I had anything impressive to show this time, so the call out is probably not for me. BTW, what did you mean by "without asterisks"? What are the asterisks and is telemetry without them better?

LOL. The call out was actually a cheeky reference to your post in the WGI Lap Times thread about *not* calling people out!

As for the asterisks, when they're beside a statistic, it usually means there's something up. Just look up the history of the asterisk and the home run record.

I see. Yeah, I did not get any videos from that non-call-out, so maybe I should have been more direct . Anyway, good times - enjoyed the track and the company tremendously.

It was definitely a hoot! Too bad you couldn't stay for the Sunday. I'm sure some of us will be paying you a visit in California in the not to far future.

I am not sure I actually told that "Story" - you must be confused. It was reality at the DDT where Sawzall and I had a little fun. Its great to have other people who drive at the same pace so you can have some fun. I think you almost experienced it this weekend at Calabogie where i tried to let you catch up, but I think you must have got stuck in traffic and/or your tires where giving you issues. Oh well, next time!

Great weekend as all of us have previously mentioned - looking forward to the next one!

Sure, I was not joking about that. I may even be open to letting use my car, at least until GT3 arrives

hey guys, i have one Calabogie track day spot up for grabs. i got this as part of the group buy organized by Sawzall and Jaypod. unfortunately i don't think i will be able to make it to CMP this season due to some unforeseen circumstances.

i am going to let it go for less than the group buy price (which was already excellent!!). pm me if anyone is interested and i'll send more details.

you can also reach me by email:

Alright people, the next Calabogie track day is August 31-September 1. Last time we were out for the long weekend, the weather was amazing, and we had the track pretty much to ourselves.

We've already got a good group of folks going for the labour day weekend - a bunch of the CSCS guys will be coming up with us.

12c may be faster, but it's too much like a GTR, stick with the Porsche.
