Bumper Protection

Got this email today

Passport BMW is pleased to announce the availability of a new accessory item custom designed to protect the bumpers on the 2006 3 series sedan. The moldings come in black but can be painted to match the vehicle’s body color.

Kit Contents:

One set of bumper moldings consists of

- 2 front bumper moldings (left and right)

- 3 Rear bumper moldings (left, center and right)

Cars with parking distance controls

- Parts Painted $ 370.00 Unpainted $ 210.00

Labor $100.00

Cars without parking distance controls

- Parts Painted $365.00 Unpainted $ 205.00

^^I agree, I laughed when i saw it. First off i think its ugly and breaks up the smooth lines of the automobile. Secondly, I told my wife that this model care does not have that rubber strip on the bumpers (for some odd reason that is the only way she can distinquish them from each other lol)

kind of useless when u r facing license plate screws from other cars. Just small cars and SUVs varies a lot in height. Totally useless...

Honestly, what this does that a clear bra doesn't I cannot fathom.

ewww its ugly and it probably doesnt protect the bumper at all, it only covers like 1/10 of the damn thing

Hey, look here pal. I'm the English teacher around here.

Actually, in the U.S. there is now a brand called "Duck Tape", complete with the aquatic critter on the logo. I do agree with you though... when one word ends with the same letter that the next begins with, it is the first victim of the lazy tongue. What people are actually saying is "duct ape". This is a disrespectful reference to the brave men and women who install HVAC systems - and goddammit I won't stand for it!!

i would save that money to get a new bumper instead
