Rear camera angle is a cool perspective, especially coming through the corkscrew.
Around here, Lime Rock has an 86dB limit most days due to its somewhat residential location and the church that's literally across the road from the facility. Does Laguna Seca have noise limits for similar reasons? Actually, you probably didn't need to short-shift after all--the soundtrack music was MUCH louder than your exhaust. |

WOW 86db is LOW! Laguna Seca has a sound limit because of ONE GUY who lives near Laguna and because of him they MIGHT close it down...Not too sure but it's a long story from what I hear. So first session I had my Rpi x pipe on with OEM muffler and the db was 99 so I HAD to go to a muffler shop and cut my beautiful x pipe into pieces and put glass packs on...then ran again and did 94db! So I didn't know what to do and one person told me to short shift at turn 5-6 so I did and did a 88db. Freakin waste of money to put glass packs on and destroyed my x pipe |

woot I was there that day! I must have seen you a few times..
I was in the blue group though.. First time out there and first time car was out too. Great video.. i plan to post mine up soon! Also: what sort of power are you pulling with your mods? That problem they have been having with that one guy has been around for 10 years now. I looked up some history and spoke to a few people out there. The decibel limit was 92, not 86, at least that's what they kept drilling into our heads. There were a few people I know who somehow got away with DB levels higher. Must have done some tricks like you, or did elbow pipe modifications to their exhausts.. lol Last edited by M3Two; 07-19-2012 at 12:25 AM.. |
