24 Hours of Lemons

Anyone want to start a Lemons team? The Mid-Atlantic race is June 16-17 at Summit Point. This race is the most fun I've ever had on a track. There's over 50 cars and they're all junkers. The key to the race is to try to keep your car running all the way to the end. If you get hit, who cares, it's a junker, just bang it out with a hammer and keep going.

Rules:
Car needs to be purchased/worth less than $500.
That's it.

We can spend as much as we want on safety and exterior looks. The car has to have a roll cage and engine kill switch. All drivers need to have full racing gear. If we have a team of 4 then it's probably going to be about $700 per person. $500 for the car, $2k for roll cage, kill switch, racing seat, entry, and then a few hundred for breaks and other various things.

I keep toying with the idea, have never been able to find an e30 in that price range that could make it the 24 hours.
