Remin Carbon Fiber Interior Dash Kit...

...has anyone installed one? The real carbon fiber (RCF on the website) looks pretty decent, and I would be lying if I didn't admit that I envy the CF interior of the new F80/82's a little bit when compared to the extensive use of bare plastic in the e90 m3 (granted, that's about all I envy). The reviews are also seem pretty good.

Here is the link:

Thanks in advance.

If it was me I would stay away from the adhesive backed CF "trim" pieces. They tend to look very cheap.

Here is a vid of a Camero with a similar kit. I usually shy away too, but it doesn't look horrible. May (key word) be better than plastic.

Still lookin for someone who took the plunge!

Just saw a kit like this on ebay - in those photos you can clearly see the aluminum original trim in the edges. To do this right you'd have to blacken those parts thereby destroying the original trim. I agree, need to do a full swap instead of this to do correctly. Plus you may get a few hundred bucks for your trim - remember that other people may actually like what you have (grass is always greener - or silverer or woodier, etc).

For $145, you're gonna clearly get what you pay for.

It doesn't cover the trim. Just the plastic areas on the center console. The back is black anyway, so you wouldn't really see it.

Nonetheless, my radar detector just crapped out on me so repair costs for that trump a dash kit.

FWIW - I just found info on doing a true carbon fiber wrap on any part. Two companies make the kids - 2x2 weave cloth, resins and glues and such all in one. I'm heading down that road. Doesn't look much more complicated than papier mache and the significant other has been teaching classes in that... sounds like a couples project LOL
