Hi Guys,

I need replacements for me OEM 245/35/19 & 265/35/19 PS2s. I'm running ZCP rims. My local tire dealer has suggested RE 760s as a replacement. I want to go 255/35/19F and 275/35/19 rear. Unfortunately 275/35/19s PSS are back ordered.

Whats your opinion on these tires and if the size will fit without rubbing?

Sizes will work The tire is a small but noticeable step down from the PS2/PSS in every way except ride comfort, but it's not unacceptable for street driving. Wet performance probably the weakest area.

go with 285/30 in the back. also if you want something cheap and for the street looking into hankooks v12s good for street and cheap. As for PSS there are a few online canadian websites that can get you the tires for a good price PM if you want the sites

This pretty well sums it up. Nice tire, but not quite in the league of the originals. The Hankooks mentioned above would be a little stickier, though a little softer in the sidewalls than I prefer from a perspective of feel.

I'd go with the S04s if you stick with bridgestone. For daily driving, I doubt you'd notice the difference between the michelin counterparts.

And it doesn't seem that the re760 come in a 255/35/19. Would only consider that tire if tire wear was your main priority.

I will never buy Bridgestone tires for a street driven performance car.

They are very heavy tires. While their top end tires give great grip for track purposes, a heavy tire on the street makes for a much clunkier ride over uneven pavement and road imperfections. They also add rotating unsprung mass in the worst possible location. Finally, I don't believe the 760 is available in 255/35/19, and the RE760 is not even in the same league as the PS2, let alone the PSS

I used to own a 350Z some years back, and I switched from Bridgestone S03 to Michelin PS2. Dropped 7lbs per tire in the rear and 4lbs per tire in the front. The ride quality, and steering responsiveness was night and day

If you can't wait for the PSS, go for the PS2 again.

Heavier tires do not equal a harsher ride. The difference in ride quality is simply because the PS2s offer a better ride than the old S03s.

Lighter is better, but keep in mind the heavier bridgestones will likely have a stiffer sidewall which equals better turn-in and response.

Again for daily driving, even aggressive street driving, you'd be hard pressed to find a difference between current top tier tires.

I had the re760s on my NSX and in the rain they were horrible.

On the M3 I've been using the Michelin ps2s and so far so good, can't wait to try out the pss!

Great response, my experience supports this

I prefer s04 over pss because of the stiffer sidewall response and better turn in for use as a street tire. Plus they are cheaper. I never noticed the 4-5 lb difference in any aspect

I'd definitely run the S04 over the RE760 - the S04 is in the Max Performance category like the PS2 and PSS, and will perform better in all categories compared to the RE760s!
