Did you have a leak/overheating issues at 50k miles? Sounds early for those types of issues.

Summary:
  • Valve cover gaskets
  • Upper timing cover gaskets
  • Engine fan
  • Thermostat
  • Spark plugs
  • Brakes & rotors (warranty replacement)
  • Oil change (OEM weight)

Drives great, of course. I have a little over 50k miles on it.

Next is probably tires. Keeping an eye on the Blackstone reports, but so far so good.

Here’s a shot of the motor during the work:

Installed my Euro bumper and replaced felt corners! Took longer than expected; the bolts on the side were a pain.

I knew I wasn't losing my mind! Ha!
Going to try and get him off the road, my girlfriend was just hit by an older guy too while walking on the sidewalk, he drove off so its considered a hit and run now. It would be kinda funny if it was the same guy who hit my car lol.

Anyways they haven't moved my car yet still in the tow yard after they said it would be towed to a body shop for an estimate

At the dealer for (free) replacement of a dodgy Throttle Actuator under the 7/70 emissions warranty.
Also got my used set of 220M's freshly powder coated gloss black and mounted with Dunlop Winter Sports ready for winter.

ECU tune from Alex at Alpine Motorsports. As usual, he's excellent to work with.

91 octane mapping
speed limiter delete (I'm not likely to need this but why not)
servotronic adjustment
cold start delete
lower rpm limit further when cold (did this to protect cats since cold start was deleted)

He threw in a few other maps to play around with including a valet one. Nice to have 241E flashed too since I had whatever they were using back in 2010.

I can't recommend Alex enough!

Nice. Are you manual? Wondering why DCT flash wasn't on your list. I'm thinking about doing the whole package from him.

Last Saturday, a talented fellow member dropped by my house to do the following:
1. Replaced the thermostat and coolant temp sensor (OEM)
2. Replaced the differential fluid (Castrol Syntrax SAF-XJ 75w-140)
3. Changed the transmission fluid (OEM) & cleaned the transmission filter
4. Changed the power steering fluid (CHF-11s)
5. Changed the spark plugs: (NGK [4471] LKR8AP)
6. Installed OMP 1010 racing pedals
The 6MT is less notchy now and...sheesh...new plugs at 40K miles make a huge difference! Today I had the tires rebalanced to eliminate a slight shimmy at 80 mph. Finally, I had the car detailed inside and out. The result:

I already have the DCT flash from Alex. I liked working with him so much on that it was a primary reason I went with him for the ECU flash.
