I´m sure they are making both, but for a dedicated BMW tuner, they have taken a long, long time. They say (Dinan) that it is because they didn´t get a car until sometime in February or something like that and Euro and other tuners got them in November of 2007. I´m sure this is all true but they still have taken way, way too long.

I'm on the phone right now trying to get the lowdown on the ECU upgrade. I'll repost when I get the answers.
Makes sense!! Would certainly explain the delays. They should have a shop in Germany in order to avoid these HUGE delays. Let us know what they say and thanks for the info.

I'm sorry but that is a bunch of urban legend BS, at best. I've heard nothing but good things about Dinan standing behind both their product and warranty.

+1. Dinan replaced a high capacity oil cooler for me, and they also paid for all of the labor hours at my dealer. They have also paid the labor hours for the ECU/DME re-flashes I have had.

I heard that BMW dealerships were no longer going to carry and install Dinan parts (to make room for BMW performance parts)

Is this true. If so, will Dinan still offer the same 4 yr warranty.

On a separate note. ///Mantis is full of BS on this one.
Dinan may not be the cheapest or the best, but to many, like me, its the best value. I don't want to void my warrant by getting a non-Dinan mod that either saves me 30% $$$ or increases HP 30% only to have blown engine without a warranty and a $25K bill.

The risk is not worth it for me.

This is false. In fact, the BMW performance parts line is not doing very well at all, and coming pretty close to falling flat on its face.

PM sent, also.

That's the thing, nobody wants to get it because all of it is on backorder. Seriously, a lot of the performance parts out there so far are all for the E46. The E90 guys (including myself) really have no idea about availability of a lot of the products and I even have a catalogue. And, some of the products, e.g. the BMW performance exhaust, aren't even close to being worth the money.

My dealership does quite a lot of Dinan sales and installations. The Dinan guy there told me yesterday that the first thing out of Dinan would be the Exhaust, and that after that he has a feeling (after speaking with Dinan) that everything else will be released simultaneously rather than one by one.

Yea, wouldn't order a lot of stuff and avaliability is an issue. I ordered the performance seats and steering wheel. Can't get any aftermarket seats like those with airbag etc... that fit perfectly I think.
