2010 e92 m3 with baggage. Buy or pass?

I found a 2010 e92 m3 pretty much fully loaded (nav w/ sat radio, heated seats, premium sound, DCT, sunroof) with just under 26k miles that has had a little bit of a history. According to carfax, it was a 3 owner car and was involved in a "minor" collision with an airbag deployment. I looked at the car and test drove it and didn't really see anything wrong with the car.

I got the dealership down to $47k OTD and they're also offering me about $2k more for my trade than any other dealership. If this passes an independent PPI and has had its regular services done, should I go for it?

3 owners and a collision over the last 3 years = hot potato. My advice - move along.

How many "minor" accidents have you been involved in that had the airbags deployed? Exactly... Pass.

Thanks guys, this is what I needed. I was told by the dealership and another person not involved with the dealership at all that it's possible that airbags for BMWs deploy on minor collisions, which is why I was considering this.

My anxiousness to get into an m3 probably played a huge part in this too. Good things come to those who wait!

Even if the car is fine, think about what that carfax is going to do to you when it's time for you to sell it on.

I've got a similar 1 owner E90 with same equipment, less heated seats, brand new michelin pilot ss, without a single scratch, in perfect condition for sale for 49,500.00 with 19,000 original miles. And a m performance exhaust! Keep walking!

This. Definitely in your best interests to find a clean car and not have to worry about repairs, resale, etc.

FYI pretty much every dealer will say this when inquiring on a vehicle with an accident history. I agree with others, 47k will buy you a lot of car without hurting your resale value down the road.

I wouldn't really call the ski bag "baggage" but it's about all the fitted luggage that BMW chose to offer.

If I was buying used, I would only consider cars sold by the original owner. Being a fourth owner is just insane... I would pass on that fact alone.

On the E46M, in very rare cases, the airbag would deploy just by hitting a small bump in the road.
