Didn't realise the introduction of another edition, "pure edition" as it were, would incite such emotion.
I grew up with Fords in my younger days. Still have some "aussie" Ford muscle in the garage. Maybe a bit harsh to compare this edition to a 2011 Mustang though. We should all be so lucky to purchase these cars at US prices. My 2008 E92 335i M-Sport was 10 months old when I bought it at a price of $115,000 AUD that's $104,650 in US speak, using the exchange rate at time of purchase. To buy this car new costs $135K USD. The purchase price of a new E92 M3 in oz is around $165K USD. Wish I was fortunate enough to live in the states and buy a used M3 for the price of a new taxi here.

My original, and only, reason for posting this topic/article was to highlight that there is yet another M3 "Special" Edition.
To Australia it certainly is:
By the way my M3 cost the equivalent of US$170,500 drive away, just for the record. |
