Elie is actually one of the organizers of the event so he will know which lap times not to count.
lol ok good i can get back to planning mods

Cool.

Seeing if i can do a season in B4, which is basically a bone stock e92 (3 points) with exhaust (0.5 points) BBK (0.5 points) rear seat removal (1.0 points including weight reduction for exhaust) Dinan front sway bar (no points) camber plates (no points) Pilot Sport Cup 2's (180 treadware no points). That's only 5 points total so a 1 point cushion from B3 in case I've dropped more than 101pounds which gets me to 6 points and still in B4.

Unless I'm missing something I don't see any points for springs only in which case I could do a KW sleeve over (no points) and run 18" ARC8's (no points) with Cup2's. Still at 5 points and a cushion to B3.

I was TOTALLY joking. Elie Mansour is one of the Bimmer Challenge organizers. He's a great guy, and we had some good laughs over the weekend and I was just sharing some of the humor. I had no intentions of raising any alarm bells.

(However, this exact thing happened to me at Global Time Attack's Super Lap Battle in 2016. Some guy had his friend drive a fast lap that knocked me off the podium. GTA found out the next day and DQ'd that session, and I ended up getting 3rd. Nobody even told me. I found out that I got 3rd through some roundabout way a couple days later....)

Anyway, Bimmer Challenge is fun. And the organizers have worked hard to line up some very worthwhile sponsors. I encourage anyone with a BMW to give it a try.

Ahh sorry. Misread about weight reduction.
That is correct. Good luck in the series! It's pretty friendly so you will like it

I'm doing B4 this year too (E90 with Coils and BBK). It would be fun to have another E9x in B4. Do you actually have your car yet?

You not only get to win prizes and discount for parts, but you also get to be in a very friendly competitive environment. All BMWs are welcome!

This year we're working really hard on getting more solid sponsors than ever for the series as well as trophies and prizes. The point of this thread is to build awareness and engagement of the series. Feel free to ask questions or suggest changes.

Bimmer Challenge Rules

2018 Bimmer Challenge standing and results

You can find your Bimmer Challenge classing by going to the 2018 Bimmer Challenge Rules and selecting your chassis' base points. For example, my E46 M3 = 2 base points. I would start at +2 points then add up any points from modifications my car has which are listed on Section 3 of link. Once you total up your points you can find your class listing below from B5 to B1.

Ok cool. No car yet. Since the 18 season has already started I'll just make sure I make it at least once to all the tracks in the challenge this year in order to learn them and then hopefully try the 2019 Challenge season. So I'll see y'all out there just not yet with an e92.

Just an FYI, only your top 7 scores count so you can miss three events and still get points in the remaining 7 events.

lol - we should think of a way to expand to east coast.

then in the future we should do worldwide. then we will have deutchebank, santander, and petronas as sponsors.
