When I bought my 335 my CA took me to get sushi afterwards. He ordered almost $100 worth of food. I ate two or three bites and was full. He was like "you're kidding me!" lol

My CA had a similar reaction when 6 months after I got my car I got stuck at the light outside of my dealership and he saw me with the top down on a 25 degree day.

I make my own food, every week. I find it easiest to cook and make shit on Sunday, usually it lasts the rest of the week (for dinner stuff).

Breakfast I usually make some sort of eggs with a piece of toast and a piece of fruit.

Lunch is either a shake mix or a sandwich, no chips, and water to drink (not only is other shit bad for you, but it costs money, water from my fridge dispenser thing is nice).

Last Sunday I bought a bunch of ingredients for a lentil soup. Full of veggies and protein from the lentils, very healthy, I think I spent $30 bucks on everything. The amount of soup will last me for well over a week as long as I keep it sealed up in the fridge. I know you'll say "fuck that, soup for dinner? Not enough..." but this shit is filling. One bowl is enough to fill me up at dinner.

In all, I probably spend a bit more than $50 bucks total for all three meals a day per week, but I don't think you can do much less than that unless you skip breakfast, and eat ramen noodles at lunch and dinner for the whole week. No thanks...

College is supposed to be lean times bro, it SHOULD get better after you grad. Keep ya head up!

Its Darwin in action man. Adapt to your new surroundings. Start small. Scrambled eggs, soup on the stove. You work your way up to harder things.

And common you have a car, go to store and pick up some cold cuts and make yourself a sammich lol.
this.

When my dad is in the office he always splits his lunch with me cause he knows my budget is tight. His excuse is that he doesn't need to eat the full thing and double the calorie intake.

I just had half of this hot italian sandwhich that tasted like a stomboli (awesome!) and I'm totally full.

I work close enough to go home every day for lunch, chill with the dog, and take a quick power nap. Nice!

Make it the night before work, add an apple, or snacks.

A bag of meat, bread, cheese, lettuce for $20, should last you a week.

Instant noodles, go to the Asian market get a box for $15 for another week.

50 bucks is a deal, I spend 15 each day (non fast-food).

Then dinner I have another mouth to feed so double that, cause my chick doesn't cook for crap!

My Amex comes in at around 1700 a month on food only. So don't feel bad.

Location might play a role as well

When I'm not traveling (where I get per diem), I make my own lunch .... couple of dollars a day for lunch on average. Sandwiches mostly. PBJ if I feel like being even cheaper.

I probably spend $500/month on food as a single person. I primarily eat out/take out.

Subway $5 dollar footlongs! One a day = $25/wk. Cuts your spending in half and a foot long should fill anyone up and be healthier than other fast food burgers/fries.

$5 oven roasted chicken breast ftw
I do this often, but I need variety. I mix in Chipotle, sushi, salad, etc.

I easily spend $50/wk on lunch. Quite frankly, I have no idea how people are spending $4-5/day. If you're in NYC or going out for lunch almost anywhere in the northeast, you're probably spending $8-10/day. My office gets lunch through Seamless Web which also adds on a delivery fee and tip. A $7 sandwich will be $10. Salad from Cosi? $12.
