I bet you won't be able to sleep tomorrow night, lol! Life is short, you've earned it, and you're getting exactly what you want.

I don't think I'll be able to do Euro Delivery either, in the end. Too difficult to get my hectic schedule to match with hubby's before production of the E9x series ends, we Canadians get no additional savings compared to our US cousins, he doesn't want to drive *our* M3 there and I know it'll be torture for me to wait 2 months to get it back. I'll just visit BMW Welt another time.

Rent terrific cars there Rolf (including the M3 at Sixt!), and have a blast this summer.

Thank you I almost purchased Mark's car (it was for sale on this forum and sold last week). His exterior colour was the same and somehow it got under my skin, I love it.

Yes sleeping in the past few days has been far from great, however, it will change once I have the car tugged away in my garage

I did the factory / museum tour in 2009 including München Die Welt, the factory and the museum. Also Mercedes and Porsche in Stuttgart and VW in Dresden (the glass factory). So I know what that is all about. My initial plan was also to purchase a new car next year and pick it up in München. However, the long wait that one has to endure (first after ordering then waiting for the car to be shipped to North America) changed my mind to that respect. If I wanted to I can rent a BMW right at Die Welt and forgo all this waiting period.

Then I was lucky to find exactly what I was looking for at a nearby dealership (2 hour drive from my house). Sometimes a fellow has to run into a steak of luck and I guess I did. Reducing this long ordering and delivery wait to under one week certainly is the better way and will not rob me of much sleep over the long run

Thanks for your kind comments.

Cheers,

Rolf-Dieter

Just got home (it's dark outside) so here are a few pictures I took at the dealer delivery bay and one after parking her in my garage ... photo shoot to follow as soon as the rain stops ... forecast is 60 mm tonight and more to folliw on Tuesday

Excuse the poor quality of the photos ... as I said photo shoot to follow when the sun comes out

June 2012 is last month (of production) we've heard so far. There is speculation it will last a little longer than that (so that the M3 can continue to qualify for racing like DMT racing - against the rules to race in a car that has ended production), but the only hard end date known so far is June 2012.

If you want one, put your order in a few months before....
