Turner Test Pipes and.......?

Anyone have any suggestions on what slip on to pair with TTP'S? I've thought about going the Akra or Dinan route because from what I've read on here they don't drone and sound pretty good and I could always pair it with it's x-pipe for the full. I've also thought about Eis Sport. Or Arqray but haven't heard much about that one. Or should I just stay OEM? Any thoughts/suggestions

I've seen/heard the Arqray with a Challenge x-pipe on youtube. It sounded pretty good to me. Have you heard it with TTP's?

I have expereience with dinan and TTP

It sounds flat out vicious and awesome. For me, the drone around 2k-2.2k RPM killed it for me in city driving. Plus i got a really good price from a buyer so it didnt cost me much to own it for the time i had it.

There is no highway drone at all though. The booming sound when shifting at lower RPM was the only annoyance I had, but I really dont like loud cars so take my opinion FWIW.

Good luck!

From what I understand the RPI drones at all rpm's. I just want something more than OEM but not obnoxious. Looks like you and Kenny Powers seem to be fans of the Dinan. I was leaning that way seeing that are are a couple in the for sale thread.

Quiet exhausts to pair with TTPs:
- Akrapovic
- Dinan
- Corsa
- Innotech
- BMW Performance (although it does get pretty raspy)

If you don't mind a bassy sound under 2000 rpm:
- Vanguard
- MXP
- AE Performance
- Eisenmann Sport
- Arqray

If you want loud:
- Eisenmann Race
- AA
- Magnaflow
- RPI GT or GTM

I figured you'd chime in at some point, seeing that you've had a ridiculous amount of different setups. Thanks

After having a few different exhaust set ups between two different cars I'm sold on the Dinan stuff. The Dinan mufflers sound really good with any x pipe or the TTP's

Does Akra slip-on paired with test pipes make that resonance between 3000-4000 rpm as Akra. Evo?

Which one is more bassy: akra Evo or akra slip-on w/TTP ?

Akrapovic Evo is more bassy and louder overall. Not a ton of difference, except that there is no resonance. I would hope that the TTP wouldn't flow as well given how much it costs, but the real restriction is the primary cats, so who knows?

well if you don't want drone akro is your best bet. if you just want more power than TTP paired with stock mufflers and xpipe should be fine. if you're under a budget the megan racing exhaust is nice.

It sounds horrible, but I think the OEM exhaust mod sounds horrible, depending on how it's done.

Your mileage may vary I'm picky with my exhaust notes.

I'm trying to find a sound clip of the TTP's with a completely stock exhaust and not having any luck.
Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Do they sound that much better with the Dinan exhaust?

Don't do it, sounds very raspy (civic with an exhaust).
