those OSS are really nice. don't think i would have the patience to remove my headlights, and send them in. the wait would kill me. though i am considering getting everything done - the AE, white blinker and black out. that would be tasty.

find a used set on ebay and send them in. That's what I did. Zero down time.

The BBK also shipped from Brembo so next Wednesday would be the day!!

Damn, now I need to dry my keyboard.

Can't wait to see what they look like when they're on. Someday I'll get a set of these. That is, if shep is still making them.

Cheers.

Euro-spec seat bottoms

So, the Euro-spec seat bottoms are finally done. The OC3 seat occupancy sensor is NOT working at the moment on the passenger side. It appears that the module needs to be coded specifically to the car. Therefore, if you were thinking of doing the seat conversion, I would suggest peeling off your own OC3 sensor and then transfer it over to the Euro seat bottoms. I'll pay a visit to the dealership tomorrow and possibly drop the car off on Monday to get the module coded. Otherwise, every thing else is working like the way it should. The change is very subtle, but I do like how it completes the look of the M3.

More pictures of the seats to come tomorrow if time permits.

Mods lined up for next week:
1. Vredestein Ultrac Sessanta tires (255/35R19 front & 275/35R19 rear)
2. RAC Monolites RG63 in Hyper Black finish
3. OEM TPMS / wheel caps
4. Brembo Gran Turismo brake kit (black F6-/R4-pistons calipers, 380mm F/R rotors)

Pimp shit brother. I always hated the NA-spec seat bottoms!

P.S. I'm also in med (1st year), but at McGill in Quebec. Nice to see another student/resident on the boards!

So if we re-use our current occupancy sensor all we need to get is the euro cushions and seat covers? You said this is about $12-1400 right? This is one mod I would definitely consider. I enjoy your journal and you have great taste in mods.

Yes, that is correct. If you just peel off your own occupancy sensor on the pax side. All you need are the new cushions and new covers. A good upholstery shop can do it in 1/2 day.

The seat covers are around 1200-1400 and I forgot how much the cushions were (got them almost 2 years ago). They are really not that expensive compared to the leather covers.

Kev,
quick question since you already went thru the research...are teh RAC monolites teh same internal size as the CSL or ZCP 19" wheels from BMW (say, 359M model)? I've had a helluva time getting a straight YES/NO answer whether or not the 380mm Brembo BBK will fit on the ZCP wheels, and looks like the RAC 63 is almost identical.

any insight would be appreciated.

Have not seen the ZCP wheels in person so can't really tell. However, in theory the 19" wheel should clear the caliper and the rotor. Even stock 19" 220M cleared the 380mm 6-pot front.

It's Really Only 18's That are an Issue

Most any 19 should clear the 380 Brembo's fine. You could call Turner to be sure. They've actually had some of the ZCP wheels in their hands.
