JUST ORDERED: MILLTEK EXHAUST SYSTEM..1st in US
Hey gang I'm pretty new here but though I would let you know I ordered the new Milltek full bolt on Cat back system. One distributor just received a few systems this past week and by complete coincidence I was doing s search to see if they released the system yet and came across the guys selling them. There are only a few reportedly shipped to the states and I was told I would be the first person in the US to have one installed. I should have it by Wednesday and installed by the weekend. Milltek didn't provide a dyno but here is what I was told about the system: +15hp, weight of 20kg, about 15% louder than stock with a nice refined growl, and louder scream at higher RPMs and minimal cabin intrusion. The guy at Milltek said the sound is similar to an RS4 with the valves open, but obviously a little different given the engine design. It's a full stainless bolt-on system with a lifeime warranty and from the pics I've seen so far and the quality of their products for other cars, I'm pretty pumped. Will post pics and sound clips when it's ready to roll.

Welcome and hope to see some pics soon. I'm interested in this exhaust as well. There is a dealer near where I live and they quoted me about 900 pounds, that's about $1200 or so fully installed. What did you pay, if you don't mind me asking?
Cheers! Rob |

A vendor here was quoting about $1700 so I assume that is what the OP paid?
A little higher than what I was expecting.... |

This is the web page from the UK, no prices unless you contact them as I did. I wonder if it's the same the OP is talking about in the States as pictured on the web page. I read in another post there was a dual exhaust one out from miltek but haven't searched the threads for it. I figure here it's going to cost about what the Remus race/sport would cost. I wonder though which is better in sound, performance, quality, durability, etc. Any ideas? |

I can vouch for Milltek's quality and sound. I had their full catback system on my A4 a couple years back, and Milltek has always been known to be on the quiet side.

So I wasn't able to get dyno results, but the exhaust is on, looks great, fit and finish are excellent and the sound is real nice. I would say about 10-20% louder and deeper than stock with absolutely no cabin intrusion/drone at any RPM. In fact it's still probably a little too quiet for me so I'm probably going to do a cat/reso delete to spice it up a bit. I'll post pics and vid this weekend when I take it out of the garage.

http://s209.photobucket.com/albums/b...t=P1030139.flv Thread from UK M3 forum discussing the Milltek, loads of photos too. The UK distributer's (Thorney Motorsport) comments regarding power gains are worth a read. http://www.mtorque.co.uk/ubbthreads/...=677590&page=1 |

Okay so I dropped the ball this weekend as I was out of town and didn't get a chance to get pics/video. Next weekend I promise! I also got the resonator removed.... Still almost no drone (a little bit from 1500-2500RPM, but hardly noticeable). System is a beast I'm looking forward to having you guys all get a soundclip soon enough...

Hello Guys !
I ordered the new Millteck cat back for my 2009 M3 E92 coupe 2 weeks ago from a distributor in England. It was deliverd in 6 days by UPS with them paying frieght. It cost $1699.00 dilivered to my door. I just had it installed on Friday by my local Muffer Shop. It took about two hours and came out wonderful. The mounting brackets had to be reversed the left to the right to fit the mounting points. It has a wonderful new rumble Not overly loud but noticeable change from stock. TS |
