Yellow triangle with exclaimation point
Please help to explain the yellow triangle with exclaimation point. I found a 2011 M3 E93 from Sam Swope BMW with premium, tech pkage and enhance premium sound for $66000. All posted pics look very nice, but I notice a yellow triangle on the dashboard instrument.
Could someone explain if that was normal? I would really appreciate Thank you |

That icon is just telling you that there is currently some warning or notification. It might happen if the car is low on fuel or a door is open, or it might happen if the car has just been rearended or your engine just exploded.
In this case, as others point out, it looks like a seatbelt warning. How did we come to this conclusion? Because, there's a giant seatbelt icon there too. See it? Now, if you put on your seatbelt and the wanring triangle remains, then there is something else amiss. To find out what, use the computer to check current faults (instructions in manual). |

In the computer world, that is called a "bang light" or "attention indicator". It generally doesn't point a particulat problem but is designed to warn you that something is wrong. You then have to research further to find what is exactly the issue. This is also the case with BMWs. It just tells you that there is something that it is not happy about. In this case, you didn't have your seat belt fastened.

Do you have your speed limit warning set? I always get this when I go over the set speed limit that I have set.
