Premier Diamond Cut IR Tint Intro
Introducing Premier's newest addition to the product line:
PREMIER DIAMOND CUT IR WINDOW FILM Traditionally, window tint provides a difference in color and shade, which could affect the amount of heat that passes through the glass. The darker the tint, the more heat it would block. Our latest product now can generate substantial heat rejection without the need to going to a very dark shade. Our window film can be as light as 73% VLT (visible light transmission), yet it would block 94% of infrared rays. Below is a test to show how well our product performs: Installed is our Diamond Cut IR Tint at 63% with exterior temperature at 100 degrees. We cracked the window on the driver's side about 4 inches to allow direct sunlight hit the surface of the center console. This test is to show the surface temperature of the area where direct sunlight comes through and where the surface areas are protected by our Diamond Cut IR tint. In 23 minutes and 13 seconds, the surface temperature rose to 160 degrees where the center console was exposed to direct sunlight. In 23 minutes and 21 seconds, the surface temperature of the area where light was shining through our tinted glass recorded a very impressive 110 degrees. A DIFFERENCE OF 50 DEGREES IN SURFACE TEMPERATURE IN JUST OVER 23 MINUTES. |

I know I asked before, but you guys weren't doing the tinting in your Orange shop. Is this now available for us?

Does it negatively impact FM or AM radio reception?"

On this test, we only tested it for about 10 minutes and it was 108 degrees that day vs. 100 degrees for the test on the LP560.
Results: IR33 - in 10 minutes 11 seconds, the rear deck registered 117 degrees Clear Glass - in 9 minutes and 14 seconds, the rear deck of the M3 that was not yet tinted had a surface reading of 150 degrees The only difference between the cars would be that the IR33% tinted vehicle is a M3 sedan and the other vehicle is a M3 coupe. Both vehicles were moved outdoors side by side. The surface temperature variance is 33 degrees in about 10 minutes time. Had we left the vehicles out for 23 minutes like we did for the LP560, the results would have been close. |

Hey that's my baby above! I think it came out awesome and looks great! Premier did a fantastic job. Great V protection without it being too dark looking. =]

We will be periodically updating photos to our Diamond Cut IR tint so that we may compile a list of vehicles with various shades so that members here can see it applied to an actual vehicle.
Here is a M3 convertible with 20% all around and 73% windshield. To reiterate, Diamond Cut IR (google search this name) was launched approximately 1 year ago. The nano-technology window film: 1. contains 0% of metals compared to some ceramics 2. 94% infrared rejection compared to 70%-80% of ceramics 3. heat blocking technology is designed into the adhesives and not the outer coating of the film. There is another film by a large film manufacturer (probably the best known), but their infrared coating is on the exterior coating, which is not as durable over time due to wear from windows rolling up and down. 4. Lifetime Warranty from bubbling, fading, peeling, and purpling. |

AND WE NOW COMPARE DIAMOND CUT IR TINT ON THE M3 TO A NON-TINTED WINDSHIELD OF A GALLARDO. IN THE M3, THE DASH REGISTERS 94 DEGREES IN 1MINUTE 49 SECONDS COMPARED TO 98 DEGRESS IN 1 MINUTE 16 SECONDS. |

With the heatwave of late, our team's been working some serious hours in getting Diamond Cut IR Nanotint installed onto various level of cars each day. Here's the B7 with the 20% along with a shot of cars waiting in line to get the IR tint installed:
Again, here are the benefits of Diamond Cut IR over the competition: 1. 94% of infrared rejection vs. Ceramics at 75%-80% 2. 99.5% of uv blockage 3. The product consists of 0% metal substrates vs. multiply metallized ceramics. 4. the film will not affect comfort access (or the equivalent of keyless entry), am / fm, radar, etc. |
