My new wing!

I just got this for my recent event at Barber. I went for the old school Chapparal-type look. Someone said they thought it was a little ricey but I just ignore those people, they're just envious. It's so tall in fact I can tailgate under it. No need to set up that PITA canopy tent anymore, nosireebob, plenty of shade under this baby!

I'd think that if you went over about 60 MPH, the front tires would lift off the ground from all that extra downforce at the rear. You'll need a splitter the size of a wading pool to balance it.

...actually, I'm thinking of adding wheelie bars on the back for that very purpose.

When I saw the title of your post I thought this was going to be another "What do you guys think of my new wing?"/"You don't like it?"/"Don't be such haters!"/"I'm taking my wing and going home!" thread.

Instead, you started my day with a big smile. Well done!

If you clip it into the sunroof over the center of gravity, you can balance the downforce and not need a big front splitter...

I'm embarrassed how long it took me to realize that it wasn't really a giant 2J wing. I guess I just wanted to believe.

Actually, you just gave me a great idea. If I clip it to the sunroof AND invert the wing, I could just fly over the competition.

I was about to say, what's wrong with the performance spoiler?

Great looking, but can you expand a little on performance. What works, and what needs adjustment. I am wondering about balance with weight transfer front and rear. Top speed effect the car any differently. Lot of what abouts.
Thanks

This had me wondering if the next time I am down at VIR and you are instructing me, you wouldn't mind going in the trunk to help keep weight over the back wheels...????

The Chapparal had the wing connected directly to the wheel hubs, did you do the same?

After the last time, the first hurdle will be to get me anywhere in the same car with you.

Are you planning on doing Tarheel in August, THSCC, Rezoom, 1st Settlers in Sept, or Chin in Oct? Of course, I would enjoy riding with you again. Let me know.

I am thinking about going down in October. August and September are out due to a visit to Europe.
