2011 E90 new purchase questions
Looking at buying a minimally optioned E90:
Jet Black with Silver Novillo DCT BMW Assist/Bluetooth 19" wheel package Sat radio MSRP $63775 Selling price $59777 Will be eligible for loyalty credit $1000, will get back dispo fee from recently turned in 335, $500 rebate from CCA. It's vague from the BMWUSA website, it says there's a $1500 allowance available and 0.9% financing for 24 months, does anyone know how this works? I think I read somewhere else that you can get this deal, then refinance with another lender after a few months. I can't tell from the pictures, is M mode standard on this car? With no idrive, are shift modes controlled via the trip computer stalk? Seems like a good deal, or am I missing something? Thanks |

Not having iDrive would be a dealbreaker for me.
Each to his own.

2011 has M Mode standard. There's a button on the center console which controls the shift settings.

M button will be there. I read on here that there is a 1000 allowance, but I think that's for leases. I think you can get it down a bit more too. At least another 1500. Someone correct me, but you'd only be missing an extra EDC setting (if you had it) with idrive. I'd jump on it

Anyone know what "QCI Spot Delivery" is? It showed up on a warranty report they ran, under Repair History (Claims). Looks like it was the month after the car was wholesaled, two months after production. The warranty has not been punched.

All cars arrive with transport protection enabled, so the dealer performs a QC check, plugs in and turns off transport mode.

On a side note, last week I tuned an m3 with about 400 miles on the clock. Read a couple of things out which indicated that the car went 100 mph with 1 mile on the odometer. The dealer told the customer that it was stored in an underground garage and wasn't driven. So take what the dealer says with a grain of salt!

Just to throw another fly in the ointment, my local salesguy called me and has a client who wants to sell his E90, 2011 11k, Jerez Black/Bamboo with DCT, Prem, Tech, 19", Sat, Anti-theft and CF interior, original MSRP 70k, warranty until 8/2014. He says it's really clean, well maintained. Initial asking price around about $2k more than the new one I'm looking at with MSRP $64k.
For that same price, I'm thinking the new one is a better deal, but at $5k less it might be worth considering. Almost 1 1/2 years less in warranty and maintenance and will probably need tires soon I figure. Any opinions? |

There is nothing like a new car.
As far as the car with 400 miles hitting 100, I have seen them run the cars that fast at the factory on a dyno.

Found another one in Houston at a different dealer: White over black with comp, prem, conven, heated seats, apps, sat radio, moonroof, DCT. MSRP about $71k, will see what they will do on that one.

Off topic but if I lived in Texas, I wouldn't touch the M3. It would be a black C63 AMG Sedan w/ Limited Slip Diff (in case you encounter some corners during the cars drive) all the way.

What's your reasoning ,that our roads are all straight? Guess you've never been to the Hill Country.
