Contis (Noise & Road Feel)
I have the stock Contis on my car (10k as of now).
Anyone else experiencing more road feel and noise as the mileage goes up?

I am starting to here the WaaWaaWaa as I drive down the road.
Do you feel everything on the road with your contis? Sometimes I get sooo much road feel through the steering wheel that I think something is out of balance. I actually just had my 4 wheels road force rebalanced and it made no difference. I think I my be paranoid now.

I have expierenced this twice. Once with my E36 M3 and once with my E46 M3. Both times I went to Michelin with great results. I haven't swapped tires on my E92 yet but if I stick with the stock wheels I'll go to the new Michelin PSS
On the other hand, its a great time for new wheels |

No worries mate. Don't sweat the small stuff. I also get a slight steering vibration between 60-80 mph ...which is fairly normal for a lot of M3s on this forum.
When your tires are ready to give out..replace em with PSS and you're good to go (of course have them road force balanced and all..) You'll miss the conti's (in the rain and little snow..if applicable). Michelin's are notorious for less than stellar road holding in inclement weather. The conti's got me and my family safe through a blizzard late last year (from NY to Philly)..driving at 40mph on the hwy. Last edited by checkmate; 06-15-2012 at 02:29 PM.. |

The Contis basically suck and really limit the performance of this car IMO.
