Really? That means they are the same as many of the forged wheels... HRE etc... so why change?

Most change for cosmetics (different look plus wider rims for wider tires) and some (like me) change for weight due to occasional track use/performance.

As said above. Change for looks and for a wider wheel, wider tire, and wider stance.

If you go with a high quality monoblock wheel (Advan, Volk, SSR, etc) you can drop 3-5 lbs per wheel as well.

bit disappointing to the find the bbs ch-r to weigh 26.2/27.8lbs in 19" and 27.8/29.2 in 20"
i would think bbs could make a cast wheel lighter than that with all their yrs of experince. what is the load rating on them?

what were the weights of the factory 19" 220m wheels again? confirmed 23 and 26?

They are fully forged wheels (one of the first forged release for the Advan Racing line). They are constructed using the 8000ton forging process, the same process as most Ray's Engineering - Volk wheels.
