So where's the rear cup holders?

My daughter was looking for it the other day and we could not find it. She had to hold her drink all the way as I keep on reminding her not to spill it. I saw on the manual that they should be there - even on the supplemental m3 manual it shows it. But all I see is none. I called my sales advisor and all he said is "it's a german sports car coupe, they never use cup holders.", but I'm American-Filipino (lol).

Anyway, is this an option we can get from BMW? OEM would be nice.

E90 has the cup holder while the E92/93 do not as I recall...

My E93 has cupholders in the rear console. They are pretty useless though.

Doh! I stand corrected, at least as far as the E93 is concerned! Maybe it is only the E92's that lack rear seat cup holders and the OP does have an E92...

Sorry, no rear cup holders in the E92 and the ones in the front don't exactly instill confidence!

Yeah, none in my E92. The coupe manual depicts them, but with the dreaded BMW 'asterisk' lol.

Clear us day now guys. No cup holders means not worrying of anyone spilling any liquid in the back. NEW RULE... No drinks in the rear seat area, it's a German made
car.

At Spartanburg's Performance Delivery Centre they have a couple of gift shops, and I saw a metallic blue "official" BMW drink container that was (as expected) a little pricey, but it was almost the same color as LeMans Blue Metallic. Bought it, placed it in a plastic bag, and began the drive home. After a few hundred miles, I rinsed it via the hotel sink, and then filled-it with my favorite soda for an early-morning caffeine boost.

Nope... It does not fit. The BMW cup does not fit into the BMW cup holder. The diameter is about 2mm larger than the holder.

(It does look nice, though, resting unused on my kitchen counter.)

+rear cup holder on E93. But golden rule is no drinks in daddy's car...except for my morning coffees wherein mug stays shut on my drive.

I seem to have no rear cupholders in my '13 E93 M3. I have the Cold Weather Package - I wonder if they delete the rear cupholders due to the ski bag pass-through? There's a rubber cover in place of the cupholders (or at least I think there is - hopefully I'm not doing something wrong!).

I have the cold weather pkg (but an '09) with ski bag pass through, and I still have the cup holders. If you have two covers in the rear center console, the one closest to the seat back slides forward and backwards (cubby hole), and the front one opens by pressing the black button on the seat back side. The two sides stand up, and it becomes a "drink holder."

Cheers

This is the biggest complaint I have about my car! The back seat middle insert just flops out and doesnt really serve any purpose. In my E92 335i that middle insert folded down and served as an arm rest. Additionally, cup holders popped out of the end of the middle insert in the 335. Not so in the M... Stupid design.
