Does this look like "30%" tint to you?
...realistically this isn't necessarily a bad problem to have but I recently had tint put on my car and because I didn't want roll the dice on getting pulled for too dark of tint I opted for the "legal" tint. Supposedly it is 30% that "reads" 27% according to the place that did the install.
I'm pretty happy with it thus far just waiting for it to cure but does it look REALLY dark to you? Again I'm not complaining at all but it seems hella dark. Maybe it doesn't let as much light through on the angle as it does head on? I guess the black interior makes it a bit darker as well... Also on the rear fixed window, how did your installer tackle the matrix dots? I've heard the E92's have an issue with the rear window but haven't heard much on the E90 side windows.

That looks like 30% to me and I'm glass you have legal in quotes because I highly doubt that it is. Most state laws require ~70% transparency of the glass. Glass itself isn't 100% transparent so the law really only allows for a clear film.

If you check out my garage, you can see what 15% tints look like. I have 15% all around, illegal in New Jersey for the front, but meh, $54 ticket.
I'm more worried about visibility in the night and bad weather. |

Thanks! Yeah the back seems pretty dark but it might be because I have black interior. Not having a sunroof too makes is pretty dark in there as well.

Wow, if this is true, I envy you guys in SC. If I venture anywhere outside of Orange County, I'm just asking to get hassled about my tint. I had 30% on my previous 350Z and I had to take it off once. I have 15% on my M3 now so I've got my fingers crossed.

I went 30% also, sometimes it does look quite dark. I had a black vinyl strip placed over the rear dot matrix. It looks OK

looks ok to me. i just redid my tint to 35% (legal limit here in Hawaii), i used to have 15% and became slightly paranoid. my friend got pulled over for his tint and he got ticketed PER WINDOW (287 dollars X 5 windows!!)
the matrix dots are almost impossible to get perfect from what i've seen..which sucks |

Blow out
Hello Putter McGavin I'm trying to get an email address to converse with you over the bad blow out you had with your Fuzion tires. I myself have had bad luck with them and would like to talk to you sense your pictures you posted are no longer available. If you have a way I can get in touch with you I would appreciate it.
