YEAHHH New Puppy!!!

Her name is Morgan, she's technically a yellow lab but is referred to as "Fox Red" in color. We picked her up tonight at 6pm. She'll end up being much darker in color, more of a spiced red or amber color.

This is the breeder we got her from....
www.amberskylabradors.com

her litter is from Cajun and Cherry Pop

Listen to him.

Besides we wanted a puppy and not some puppy mill deal. Just our preference. My buddy adopted a dog and it took him 4 years to get that dog to like people other than him. I was not interested in that kind of time frame. You can adopt all you want if you like.

if you truly love dogs, you would adopt. It's just my take on it. No offense.

Very cute pup, btw.

Post pics in a couple months so we can see the colour difference! I saw the Fox Red labs earlier and they look amazing once they get a little older!

How bout you keep your fucking opinion to yourself this one occasion dipshit? He got a new fucking dog, and hes happy about it, and loves his dog, and then you come in and fucking ruin his decision by saying it was wrong and stupid.

Theres a certain time to keep your fucking worthless opinions to yourself, and now is one of them, asshole.

That probably had more to do with the breed than how he got the dog though.

Adopting a mature dog is a little risky, but you're not going to have issues like that with a puppy.

Anyway, cute pup. Labs are great dogs.

God damn, are you his gf or something? so protective and everything.... You do realized that this IS an open forum on the internet, right? One should expect to receive good AND bad comments when posting on a forum. Anyways, I have already said that it was just my take on this topic and it was meant no offense to the OP. I also don't see how I have made him feel bad for buying a new dog. What I said was not "worthless" as I'm just trying to convince more people to adopt. He bought the dog, fine. But I wanted to convince him to adopt one next time around. That's all. So how is this worthless? By cursing aimlessly at people online is worthless. Grow up and stop cursing everytime you hear something that you don't agree with; you may learn something. If you think you have learned something here, please donate $25 to the ASPCA. Thank you.

That makes no sense. You don't give birth to a puppy, and neither would be carrying your genes.

Congrats on being an immature, really shows what you're made of. The excessive cursing was me overreacting, i'll admit, but I would hope that it would show you that i'm serious. Imagine if you just had a child and you were so proud, you come online and post a picture of the baby and someone says, it's an ugly fuck, you should have adopted. Don't tell me you wouldn't be put off even slightly by that.

Go convince people to adopt who haven't just bought a puppy. Adopting isn't for everyone. Once again, learn when to keep your opinions to yourself.

Yes it does. The original idiot's post said "if you truly love dogs, you would adopt." hence the argument: If you truly loved kids you would adopt.

Yes, and I'll say it again. If you truly love dogs, you would adopt.

Number of cats and dogs entering shelters each year:
6-8 million (HSUS estimate)

Number of cats and dogs euthanized by shelters each year:
3-4 million (HSUS estimate)

Number of cats and dogs adopted from shelters each year:
3-4 million (HSUS estimate)

The last time I checked, we don't euthanize kids at the shelters. At least not in this country.

The reason for having kids instead of adopting is because they will be carrying YOUR genes. That's what makes them YOUR kids. That's not the case no matter where you get the dog.

Great pup! I just bought a shiba a few months back, but wanted a lab... Anyway, your pup is so damn cute!

As for all this adopting debacle -- I would have adopted, but all the dogs at the pound/shelter were old, ugly, and had bad tempers. I wanted a puppy of a specific breed and shelters just don't provide that type of convenience.

Just curious why do you think you must adopt to truely love a dog? Is it because you have weak heart to see it put to sleep? Cause of the expense of breeders? I'm just curious.

Thanks for all the positive comments everyone.

As for adopting I have nothing wrong with that. As SE3P said we wanted a specific color of the Lab breed. Find me a shelter that has "fox red" lab puppies and I would have went and at least checked them out against the breeders. As for the amount of dogs that are in the APL and the amount being euthanized some people should be euthanized with those poor dogs.

I'll def post more picks as she gets older. The breeder thinks she's going to mature into a nice amber red hue of color which we're very excited about. She's def. a head turner too, most people don't even recognize her as a lab off the bat due to her color.
