Need some advice on pricing:

2011 e92 Alpine on Bamboo DCT

Every option except rear sunshade, auto-high beams, and headlight washers (Premium, Comp, heated seats, premium sound etc)

He's asking $60,500 (private sale)

What do you guys think?

Too much, imo. It's too close to buying brand new decently optioned e92, at least to me.

At Faulkner?

Should have haggled a bit, I called them the day they received it and they offered it to me at $61k, but I didn't like the black interior.

never pay list price my friends!

either way, enjoy the car.

There's a good one which I believe is exactly what you are looking for at United BMW of GA. Pretty Close to you. It's listed for 67xxx but it is a 2012 one and with only 2000 miles. There's also one that's CPO at paul miller NJ for only 65xxx 2011 and 6000 miles. I think either one will be better than the one you're looking at.

If you ask me, would I rather have one that is 60500 at 11xxx miles or one 67xxx with 2000 miles, i rather get the newer one.

that used one at 67xxx is 3k less than a brand new one. Buying used at that point makes no sense.

That's why I went new. You're saving roughly 10k for slightly, slightly used. Didn't make sense to me. The one at United GA that I showed you might be feasible if they can discount it some more. If it's at the listing price, definitely not. A new one like that is roughly around 75k.

Was hoping someone can give me some advice. I am in process and hunt, for a 08-10 E92 M3 6 MT, with navi car.

I found a 2009 M3 Coupe, with 35k, 6 MT, Navi, No EDC, base wheels, and is not certified. They want 48,000.

Was wondering if this was a deal, or should keep looking?

Any help, is much appreciated.

I used to own a E46 M, then a 335 Coupe. I am excited about this one!

any other options? Premium, Leather (non extended vs extended), premium sound ?
I say it is just a bit higher than reg value considering the coupe with that mileage. but not too much higher. we talkin maybe max $2K difference.

I think you can check the options on the car - just to be certain of them - by searching the VIN#, can't you?

Nice pick up. Did you buy from a private party, or a BMW dealership?

At a Toyota/Scion dealer actually. Previous owner traded it for a 4Runner. The dealer had it on their lot for 45 days and the manager said at 60 days it was going to auction. He knew people don't go to Toyota to buy BMWs, never mind an M3. I had a friend in the car business look up the current auction prices ($37k) and when I made the offer against their asking price ($44k), we negotiated to $37.5.

The toyota dealer is owned by a company with BMW dealer and Toyota sold me 6 oil changes for $300. The BMW dealer said they would honor it but corporate has since then changed the policy for oil prepays on M cars across all their dealers. I def made out on that one.

Do you have access to auction prices? If so, what would the auction price be of this car? It has been on their lot for quite some time...

I don't have direct access. I have a friend who does but he isn't someone I feel comfortable to ask for people I don't know. He is the sales manager of a high end used car dealer so i cant always pester him for stuff like this.

I also don't want to open up a can of worms here and invite others to ask me. I'm really sorry but I can tell you 08 e92s are right at 37k as of a few weeks ago when I got my car.

Also, keep in mind you're buying from a BMW dealer who probably doesn't have pressure to move a car by selling it at auction since he more than likely doesn't have to move a car off his lot after 60 days. In my case, the M3 was taking up a slot on a Toyota lot and my friends in the car business said after 60 days, big corp dealers typically have to start paying back to corp. for that car slot. The car business is def. very interesting in how it works ...
