I have MCB, it's fantastic. I'm just sayin'. With black chrome kidney grilles and gills and the carbon fiber spoiler, well you can imagine. The M performance exhaust just tops it off. I didn't struggle with the color at all, MCB was the only color I wanted. I wasn't disappointed.

New to the M3 forums. How did you get the MCB, I can't see it on the BMW website, I agree, it's the best color I've seen. Another question, what color interior and what color wheels do you have.

MCB is an individual colour so its special order $3-5k more depending on region unless you can get an "edition" car but I believe these are long gone.

I would do it on a black interior but it also looks great with platinum. I was thinking black wheels but turned more to silver now as i think it gives the car a cleaner look.

Either way looks great though....

Silverstone shows the M3 lines the best, period. Any color too dark and you lose a lot. On the other side of the spectrum, you also lose a lot with white.

GL with your decision.

I was looking at this color as well. My 1st BMW was a sky blue metallic coupe. Gosh i loved that color with beige interior. On the BMW website, the silver stone color for the E92 M3 looks a bit like the sky blue to me. Is that true in real life or its just the Internet pic.

Honestly, in person there isn't much of the sky blue you see in pics. And the e92 silverstone II is different from the past versions on older models. The only time I really notice a sky blue color is in some dreary weather, and it has to be a certain lighting.

At night, its more of a darker silver. During sunlight its a medium to light silver. When I was choosing, I was really concerned about the sky blue from the pictures I had seen, but when I saw it in person, I just fell in love. There are some colors that you think look great, but silverstone really made my jaw drop when I saw it in person for the first time. I couldn't believe it was the same color I saw on these forums, i actually had to check the paint code to be sure

I'd check it out in person first if you can.

a fruity color like blue, gives the m3 more of a sports car look than a luxury or classy car. for me i like classy look and sports. the blue is just to much for me. although it looks GREAT. white with black rims is prefect for me.

i would go with black, white, sliver, or grey.

I had to put in a special order individual color with my dealer. I did this late last Nov., they built it late Dec. and I took delivery the last day of Feb. this year. It went smooth as silk. I have Black extended leather and the carbon leather trim. I also got the competition pack. so I have the wheels you get with that.

I'm planning to order my car in June as my current car is relatively new. Planning to get the silver stone color. Do you think June would be too late to order this car and it could be out of production by then?

My girlfriends 335i is in Sapphire Black. I don't really care for it. I prefer my black to not have the metal flake. Le Mans Blue is very nice and will also grab attention. I think if I was purchasing new I would probably go for the orange.

I would talk to your dealer about ordering. As per cut off date. Do you want this model or wait for the TT ? I wanted this one. I had a space gray '09 before I ordered my MCB 2012 E92, so you need to figure out what you want to do. I'm not interested in the new model.

I was told by my dealer that production will end around april/may 2013 which means all orders would need to be in 6-8 weeks before then.

That's for Australia though so maybe ask the dealer in your area.

Very true...

With a dirty SS, it still looks clean. Win-win!

Love Silverstone. In sunlight it's got a cool light green undertone and even a little blue. Doesn't look weird, just makes it a whole lot more interesting than the otherwise completely ubiquitous silver. Definitely have to see it in person to appreciate it.

Moonstone would be a great choice too, same concept: mostly white but with a lot of undertone coloration and texture.

YES! Never really looks dirty. In fact, when it gets "dirty" the color just changes to a darker silver. Sometimes I just leave it dirty for a week to enjoy my new color

However, I have not noticed a "light green" undertone, my eyes must be bad
