Nurburgring Nordschlife BMW M3 E92 DKG

Just drove e92 M3 at Nurburgring. I knew that M3 was fast, but I didn't think that it is so fast and so easy to drive! I drove M3 with 6 speed MT and 7 speed DKG with optional suspension EDC. EDC suspension makes huge difference! That car was amazing! With this car with stability control on (M Dynamic Mode) I was able to keep up with one of the fastest Nurburgring drivers Horst von Saurma, driving 6 speed MT car. Here is my video:

Odd video. Why is it labeled M3 46 when it is clearly and E92? Also there is no such thing as DKT, it is DCT or DKG in German. Also if you look at the start and end points on the little map it appears to be quite far from a complete lap.

you cannot drive a full lap normally as you enter on the straight and have to go off as well, for this reason so called BTG times are measured which was done in this case. But looking at the beginning, to me it looks like the start is not where it should be...

How many laps have you driven on the Ring? Find the driving style aggressive for so called "Touristen Fahrt". Especially your move to overtake the Audi on the right. As during Touristfahrten this road is a public road this is clearly prohibited.

There is no such a thing as start/finish, then you are doing "Touristen Fahrt" Public day is not a race and I was not trying to put best lap time. I even did not turn ESP completely off.

very nice driving and I like the acquisition data. Do you live there or were you doing ED or a rental or a school?

Most of the time I live in Miami, but I spend a lot of time at the Ring, working with local car rental companies as personal instructor for people who wants to rent high power cars to drive on the Ring.

Probably a typo since the T and G keys are adjacent. I think he meant DKG.

Its dangerous not to pass people who have slower cars and driver slower then you. At certain points on the track if track crew wants you to pass they wave a blue flag which of course indicates you and the driver in front of you a passing maneuver is encouraged.

What do you know I was there the same day as you with my AW DCT. It’s a pity we didn’t hook up as I could have done with some of your local knowledge. It was my first time to the Ring and have to say it was both the best and the scariest thing I’ve ever done. Did 2 laps on the 29th and a further two laps on the 30th. My fastest lap, bridge to gantry, was my forth and last one at 8:54 which I was delighted with. Four laps worth of experience is just not enough to get a seriously quick time like you without the real threat of a major incident on this very long high speed track when you consider my average speed was 79 mph and top speed was 140 mph…
Perhaps we’ll meet up another day in the future when I return as I surely will….

sorry, but you are wrong. This is not a track, this is a public road when driving during so called "touristenfahrten". There are no people waving blue flags! As normal rules apply, you are not allowed to overtake on the right.
