Finally got my car back.

During the recent snow my car sustained damage by a hit and run driver. The damage looked minimal at first, but as it turns out the bumper and the trunklid had to be replaced.

For two weeks I have driven our 93 Volvo 940. It weighs about 2 tons and has 120 HP. My car feels like such a rocket!!

The paint match is pretty good. In a month or so I don't think it will even be detectable. The line between the trunk and the bumper seems slightly askew, but I showed it to the sales manager at my dealership (he is quite knowledgeable), and he said it is pretty good.

God, it is so nice having the car back! Went out again today and took some more pictures.

Nice pics. How is the paint match from bumper to quarter panel? Did they blend it?

They did not blend the paint. I think it was a stretch to get the insurance company to replace the trunk lid, as the shop that does the estimate for the insurance company estimated to repair it. The body shop I went to is the one the dealership uses, and I think they do pretty good work.

The damage was to a small part of the rear bumper and a dent in the vertical portion of the trunk lid. It was barely detectable, but a significant amount of damage was sustained.
