Race Gas

Has anybody tried race-gas (race-gas.com)? I am wondering if it really produces the desired results.

Any other suggestions for octane boosters?

Am I correct in assuming that higher concentration of any additive also means higher octane rating of the fuel. If so, what is the maximum concentration safe/meaningful to use?

Thank you for your insights.

Hard to find out much information from that website which makes me think it's just like NOS and Torco octane boosters.

With the S65 powerplant anything above 95 octane really has diminishing returns. The cars rated power is with 93 octane, if you can't get 93 octane in your area than this could work. The issue with the S65 is that alot of these boosters coat the plugs with a nice reddish hue, by itself not an issue. The problem is that the S65 uses the sparkplugs as knock sensors, a good red coating could affect this.

I think a lot of these cars do not always hit their timing targets and that race gas would help many. I'd agree that blending enough with your pump gas octane to reach 95 should be sufficient. I run meth injection with a tune that increases timing when the meth is flowing. Cheaper than race gas since it is used at only about a 1:5 ratio to pump gas and is used only above a certain load setting (that represents just a tiny fraction of my driving time).

Even if it adds no power it is worth the price of admission on a cat less car

Here in western Canada I've been running Shell premium 91 octane but filled up with Chevron 94 octane (no ethanol) and the engine is noticeably stronger. makes me wonder if the Shell premium was even at 91 octane.

(H), do you have access to e85? If so, you can blend (as discussed on several posts) to e30 to achieve the same effect for much less $. I noticed a significant improvement in performance, especially on hot days, on the first tank of e30 blend.
