08 E92 M3 w/ "Increased Battery Discharge" warning
Every time I start the car I have to reset my clock and there is a warning in the VEHICLE INFORMATION display that says "Increased Battery Discharge". I drive the car every other day for at least 30 miles, and my drivng habits have been the same for the last year or so. Is this a known problem?

If there's a fault in wiring.., it happens.

I just had my battery replaced. Same problem with the car not starting etc.
Call your SA and get the car in for service. It will not go away, or even start. vz

Make sure your remote keys are not in the range of your car over night.
If your keys are near the car overnight, your car is always in standby mode which drains battery.

Here's the thing. Nothing has changed in years where my keys are stored or where my car is parked in my garage. Nothing has been modified on the car or any equipment added. So the problem has to be caused by something going wrong with the car. I am betting the battery is simply beginning to fail and I need a new battery. Although I admit I have never had a battery in a car fail at 3.25 years. Usually it is 4+ or closer to 5 years before the battery fails.

My SA siad it was likely due to low mileage since I only drive ~20 miles a day to work. If this was the case, the new battery would be off warranty but he did me a "favor" and charged it to the warranty for a "bad cell."

Which dealer did you got to? I'm having the same problem and Shelly BMW is refusing to cover it under warranty because " I don't drive enough mile" in a day.

My dealer told me same thing. You can request them to run overnight test for battery drain issue to figure out if that battery issue or not enough miles to re-juicing issue.
