Hi all, hoping someone can help point me in the right direction or just tell me I'm an idiot and point me in the right direction afterwards...
I have a 2008 E90 M3, and the driver's side rear door lock actuator seems to have crapped out. I can still open the door from the inside, and then from the outside once its unlocked. However, I can only lock the door with the keyfob. Does not let me unlock. Makes a short vibrating/multi-clicking noise but fails to push the lock pin up. Does anyone know where I can get a replacement for the driver's side rear door lock actuator? Majority I see online are for the front door. Thanks

The only other possible sub forum is cosmetic exterior/interior. I found a DIY on the front door lock. Also check out real OEM, they have diagrams and part #s.

You may want to put your specific VIN into RealOEM, to see if there were any changes.

I replaced the driver rear door lock actuator on my e90 335i a couple months back. Part # 51227202147. It’s interchangeable to most bmw models. Took me a while to find the correct part number but this one should fit the e90 m3. Bought a new one on eBay for about $70.
Here’s a good DIY vid:
