The coupe has to test first. I think coupe will start testing late next year and the M model late 2012. I'd say they are finishing up the design on the coupe right now.

I'm willing to bet it's already begun, at least on the drivetrain.

No doubt. When I left the Regensburg factory last week they were just bolting in the new Robots for the actual F30 assembly line. A lot of prep work for the F30 line will take place during the upcoming closure as well.

i didnt know the engines were assembled by hand along with the stitching on the steering wheel. was it the same for the e46 m3?
