Since you asked....

Does it come off?!! Don't want to be a d**k but you did ask: first word that popped into my head was "atrocious".

I don't like that detail on any hood. It is akin to putting makeup on a perfect set of tits IMHO. But that's just me; do what makes you happy.

It looks good, but you may wanna take it off later on, so that you can keep the originality of your M.

"yes it peels right off"

Sigh of relief-then go nuts, do what you want and just make sure you take it off when ever you take it out of the garage Seriously, it's your car so have fun with it.

I think it's kinda interesting -- distinctive. Sometimes I wish BMW had done the bulge in a matte finish, though. On the drive to work, heading east as the sun is rising, there's a perfect reflection off the hood, right into my eyes.

your car, your choice!

its something you can do for a few weeks or whatever and then remove it. I personally wouldn't do a relatively "stock" M3. I also personally wouldn't do it to my "blacked out" theme on my M3. But I defintely wouldn't do it to a stock car.
