I found a wallet today.....part II....w/ poll

Over the weekend, while walking back to my car in the parking lot from the mall I found a beat up kid's wallet. I picked it up and drove off. While driving I opened up the wallet and there was $35 with no identification, except a game card for one of those arcades. I used the money to fill up my gas tank.

The $1,000,000 question is: What would you have done?

I'd turn it into the lost and found because the one time I lost my wallet somebody did that for me.

would turn it in... but i highly doubt the kid would get it back anyways... keep the money and pay it forward in the future... go volunteer at a homeless shelter for a day or something... or buy a kid some ice cream.

you did nothing wrong. there was no ID how would they possibly find the kid and I doubt the kid would go to the lost and found counter.

Forget that. If the person was older, with like a drivers license, and credit cards, insurance info, etc... i would return the wallet. But the kid doesn't need $35 as much as your thirsty 330i does. Job well done

I would return the wallet because I lost my wallet at school two times and both times someone has returned it to the lost and found with all my money there. It's just good karma to do the same.
