Our roads are so shitty! You gotta keep your head on a swivel for sure. But, I just couldn't wait any longer.

Well, I guess the love affair with Petro Canada Supreme is over. Wasn't aware of the switch to ethanol blend in Supreme. Done, over. Only thing I really like about the station on Calgary Trail by Cora's was that they had dedicated Supreme pumps.

So, the switch to Shell V-Power is on. I wish Chevron would expand to Alberta from BC.

Pulled mine out last week for some brief runs. The PZeros are balder than Telly Savalas. I sure wish Michelin had brought out the PSS in 285/30/19, but they seem to be making every size but that one. Ordered another set of PZeros from Tunerworks.

May be my last M3 summer as well.

I will most likely jump to the M5 next year. It is an unreal ride! And the thought of going to a 6 cylinder in the new M3 or M4 just doesn't do it for me. No matter how powerful the make it.

IMO if you are going to get 91 with ethanol, you are just as well to get the 94 with ethanol.
Do you happen to know what % ethanol the 94 is?

Lightweights, I've been slamming around all winter lol.

I am tying to get details on PCAN 94 but nothing is out there. 133.9/l but there was no stock yet so it wouldn't pump.

Some info here to start about ethanol in fuel from their website. All fuels now have min 5% ethanol.

Ethanol-blended gasoline is a fuel that typically contains up to 10% ethanol in unleaded gasoline. We use ethanol in our gasoline where legislation requires its use and where conditions warrant. The Federal Government has regulated that motor gasoline sold in Canada after Sept. 1, 2010 must contain an annual pool average of 5% ethanol. Different provincial mandates also exist, some with higher ethanol pool requirements. Because of these mandates, most grades of Petro-Canada fuel may now contain up to 10% ethanol. This represents a change from the previous state, where premium fuel was ethanol-free at Petro-Canada. To find out if ethanol-blended gasoline is sold at a station look for the yellow labels in the pump area indicating that the fuel may contain a maximum of 10% ethanol.

Tactrol is our exclusive deposit control additive that acts as a detergent to clean and prevent the build-up of harmful deposits. Tactrol is used in all grades of Petro-Canada gasoline — including RegularClean, PlusClean, SuperClean, Ultra 94, and WinterGas™.

SuperClean and Ultra 94 come fortified with an extra dosage of Tactrol — so it can actually remove stubborn deposits, help restore your engine's performance, and keep it clean.

No other company uses Tactrol except Petro-Canada.

Yeah, same here, though I had some beefy winter rubber on there that provided a little extra rim protection.

As far as the 5% is concerned, it is a minimum average for all fuel sold. Quite a bit of 91 (esso/costco/hughes) is still ethanol free, which is nice and legal since far more 87 is sold than 91.

Since I work for Suncor, Petro Canada's parent company, I have access to see which fuels contain ethanol at the bulk distributors on our SAP system.

What you are saying is correct Glenn, All our fuel now has minimum 5% ethanol in it. In fact, as far as I know, ethanol free fuel is pretty much unavailable in Alberta anymore from any retailer, and although I haven't been able to confirm this, I think even shell is now adding ethanol to their VPower.

I didn't notice any difference really between the Pcan 94 and the Shell. But, the roads are still to shitty to open it up yet.

I ordered them from Discount Tire Direct. They were the cheapest and they have free shipping to US/Canada. And I got them in under a week. So I can't complain.

PM'd. Unfortunately my driving style didn't translate to fast on my first outing. Next time I'll be a bit more adventurous and drive in MDM. My main goal was self preservation.

It's not that bad, there is one hard stop from 160 per lap and some others from around 120-130 - the stockers didn't fade at all in the 10 minute session, just wore fairly quick. I did some research and I'm thinking about giving stoptech street performance pads a try.
