Do you bring a spare wheel/tire to the track?

Hey guys, I've started tracking recently and some of my buddies are bringing a spare wheel/tire to track days just in case they pop one of their tires. I am just wondering how many people actually do this? I was thinking of getting a spare cheap wheel and tire that will fit both in the front and rear so I can at least take my car home if I lose a tire.

Depends how far the track is from home. AAA is an easy option if you already have their coverage.

I take anywhere from 2 to 4 tires/wheels with me. You never know.

I carry a set of APEX wheels to the track. They're pretty cheap. I didn't start doing this until recently, but it is a nice peace of mind to know you have a backup. Plus, if I need to replace the tires I won't need to drop my entire car off. I could just swap the wheels, and drop the worn ones off.

The other nice thing about a spare set of wheels/tires is that if something does happen, you don't have to pack up and go home on a rollback. You just bolt up another set and keep running.

I drive my car and run street tires to the track, and carry my Track Apex rims and tires in the back. They are put on at the track. So I guess you can say I have an extra set, but if I blow a Track tire, I am through for the day.

Same here, got an extra set to drive back home.

But I would not want to wear my PSS running on a dry track.

Can you really fit an extra set of wheels/tires in the back? Or do you shove in the cabin?

Four wheels/tires do fit in the coupe and sedan pretty well, but you need to use the back seat area. There are other threads on this:

I see E93 in your signature, might more of a challenge...
