WMA lossless playback in 09+ iDrive?

I recently converted my FLAC collection to WMA lossless in preparation for the arrival of my 2011.5 M3. Here's the issue I've run into: some WMA lossless files play on my 2008 iDrive system, while other WMA lossless files don't. I don't see any pattern for why some play and some don't, e.g. some 24-bit files play while some 16-bit files don't.

My question is does this issue occur for 09+ iDrive users? I'm hoping the CIC in the new iDrive resolved this issue.

While I don't personally use WMAs, BMW Tech documents show that CIC does have WMA support.

Hey Tom, what are you using? For lossless WAV is the only other option. And while it shows WMA support, WMA Lossless is not listed.

I'm simply using MP3s @ 256k or higher bitrate. I'll send you some info via email on the CIC for reference.
