could be a sales ploy don't quote me on that. Or they heard aluminum prices are going down so there holding back for a deal. Lol I don't know I'm talking out of my ass. I just haven't heard anyone from out of the stats complaining about any short comings on their orders.

Anyone Canada? Europe? Africa? Middle East? China? Japan? or anyone else I have left out...

Greg...

1) How do you find out how specific your production is going
2) What production date did you have? I might have been delayed bc I started off manual then went to DCT then realized I wanted the manual really bad so it could have been that or maybe the obvious the 19's

Call 1-800-831-1117 and ask.

Have your production # ready.

1) The most specific information is through your dealer's ordering system by doing a "Vehicle Inquiry". Your CA can look up info in a couple minutes. The DCS is capable of sorting information in many ways, which is cool. You can find out how many cars in your region have been delivered, or how many White/Red cars with sattelite radio are on order for the whole US, for instance.
2) I was estimated with Week 6 build at 111 status, which was what it ended up.

I don't think they will give you exact status codes, just "in production", for instance.

Keep in mind that USA customers seem to get far more detailed info re: their production status than everyone else.

BTW I'm in the UK and ordered a 4 door M3 in November which launches in March. I'm no.1 on my dealer list, they finally got an allocation on Monday and I was told it's week 16 production with week 20 delivery and I have the 19" wheels too btw That's mid may delivery for a car I was hoping I get in March

So for anyone saying production has been delayed make sure you clarify if you've ordered 4 door or 2 door as there might be delays with the 4 door?

Just spoke to my SA. Things were set to take my order this weekend, but once he found out that I wanted 19 in wheels, he said he'll call me at the end of the month. I think he's going down the list to find someone who wants the 18's. Is this kosher? I must admit I don't understand the whole allocation thing.

I suspect that BMW customer relations people on the phone have access to more info than they are willing to disclose. I asked, on several occasions on the phone, what the "estimated" production time for my 111 was, and I was told that wasn't available. Then I really pressed a rep yesterday and said my dealer has been telling me mid-March and that I want to verify that information as I would like to figure out if I'm being jerked around or not, at which point, she paused for a second, and said Week 11.

I'd say it's not kosher if you had a deposit down. Sounds like for your SA the only thing worse than avid customers not getting cars soon is an SA who doesn't make a commission soon...

That's strange. I have called BMW NA three times now and every time they were very helpful. THe first two times they said I was estimated Week 10 production, but as I posted yesterday, I have now been moved to Week 15 production because of the 19in wheel delay.

Strange indeed. Are you 112 though? If you are, that might explain the difference. If not, I have no idea why they were not willing to disclose the estimated production week without me being pushy.

So he should put my order in as if there was no wheel issue?

Everytime I've called they've told me production week 10 with no problems...I guess luck of the draw....

Sounds like it...

Do you have an expected PCD date or will that happen at 112?

I wish. It is still just an estimated production date. I'm still sitting at 111.
