Anyone know of a good mini cooper forum?

I tried looking a while back when we 1st ordered my wifes mini but had no luck. I was hoping there is a mini site just like 1addicts.com out there. Anyone???? We are taking delivery next week and I want to know some more about these little rides.

Thanks for any leads

Also some good info at www.mini2.com It is more British centric, but there is still lots of good info and plenty of american posters there, last time I checked.

You have a very active SunshineMinis club in your area. They have a lot of members who have had MINIS/Minis for a long time.

As for the NAM forum...just be careful...they are not nearly as friendly as 1ADDICTS.

I am also in the ATLMINIS club here in the ATL. If you plan a visit in the area please let us know and a number of us will be glad to meet you and show you around and have a little fun.

about reliability i have heard a very few, very rare, but very disturbing issues related to gearbox failure. apart from this i rarely read a bad word about their reliability.

The gearbox issue was with the 2002 model only. The build quality really showed up with the 2005 Model Year. I have owned every model year MC S 02-08, still own the 2005 MCS Cabrio. The S series were supercharged 4 bangers until model year 08 when MINI changed to turbos and had it's biggest changes in exterior and interior for the coupes. The 09 Cabrio will be the first of the turbo series becoming available sometime in March 09.

I think the very best value MC S is the 05. Here is a picture of my 05.

Sweet ride ya got there Call. Well we picked up my wifes MCS on saturday and it really is a sweet little car. You can really hear the turbo unlike my silent 135i.

I will have to post up some pics soon.

Thanks again guys for all of the good links
