I got it!
Hi guys. Name's Gene, live in LA. Just bought my first bmw from an old Audiworld acquaintance of mine. Drove it down from Portland this weekend. I'm in love. It sounds so mean, so exotic. And I'm stoked to explore socal with the roof down :-D
Here's a couple of photos, but first a bonus question! Wheel locks? Thing has macht schnell 75mm studs and very beautiful HRE wheels that I really don't want to get stolen. Any recommendations? Seller's beautiful pic (I had the front lip removed already because there's no way I'm not going to f it up :-D) Mt Shasta |

Sweet ride, Congratulations!! Love the bronze wheels. And in LA wheel locks are a must, to many shady people around...
How much for the lip? BTW I’m trying to put together a canyon run in Angeles Crest 11/26, you’re welcome to join! |

Thanks, yeah, I figure parking it on the streets here is asking to find it on cinderblocks one day. PO kept the lip and knocked some bucks off for it. Considering my 1000 mile drive home, it was win-win. The last time I went on a car enthusiast drive, an A4 ended up on its roof after trying to keep up with a bunch of modified S4s. This was 15+ years ago, so things may have changed. Do y'all still drive like idiots? :-P |

Another happy M E9x guy onboard -Welcome OxGene! Car looks stunning. Assuming in LA you can keep that top down most of the year, not worrying about the snow that is currently aiming for my roof...😎

Congrats! Nice ride.
Can't see if you have it, but if you don't - I would recommend to get a wind deflector. I drive mine without top almost down to the freezing point and with that deflector and windows up it's still comfortable and warm inside. |

As long as you have MDM on you would have to be going stupid fast to hurt yourself, the car is pretty good at keeping the wheels going the direction you point it. The e9X with DCT is a ton of fun in the twisties!! You never have to take your hands off the wheel and the response is so fast when you hit the paddles it makes you feel like you’re playing a video game!! I have only had my ///M for a few months and will not be pushing it.
