definitely don't get to hit 8k+ as much as I'd like, but getting up to 5-6k lets you get a good amount of sound and fun

Hope it's not too bad of a penalty, but to say the cop gave you a break? 11 points or even 6 not a break. Points aren't breaks to me just a way to break your pockets.

This is not the fastest car on Earth by a long way but 8k rpm feels like your traveling back in time. I've hit it once in 3 years and it feels like you are either gonna run out of luck or road on highways and/or residential streets. I've hit the 7's plenty/regularly but 8k rpm can be both FUN and disconcerting at the same time.
Extremely nice to know it's there to exploit whenever I wish.

Well, technically anything over 90 is reckless driving and he could have taken me to jail. I was respectful and the highway was basically empty so it was one ticket instead of two.

I can't believe how many people are saying they never redline their cars. It's astonishing to me that people own a car like the m3 and never even push it. What is wrong with you people?

Good luck with the judge. He's the one that determines what you get and not the cop.

There is also a big difference between gunning it through 2nd then slowing down vs cruising at 70mph down the street. People also generally know the streets they drive everyday and understand where police might be and where it is safe to have a little fun. |

My car must be getting ready to explode given the number of times I've hit red line (at least twenty times per day), and even using engine braking hit 7k-8k rpm.
Oh, no, 49,000 miles, 7k of them mine, and no problem. |
