Hardwire Installation for Passport 9500ix in Houston

Hey guys,

I moved to Houston about 9 months back and live inside the loop. Recently I've been driving to Austin and Dallas often and feel its time to get a radar. I'm pretty set on the Passport 9500ix but want to have someone who knows what they are doing hardwire/mount it under the rearview mirror.

Does anyone recommend or know of any shops around Houston that will hardwire the Passport 9500ix? Thanks in advance everyone.

I mounted my Redline using the escort hardwire kit and a blendmount.

Did it myself, took about an hour.

If you feel like a DIY, you're welcome to come see it and I'll help you with the install.

I mounted my Passport Max under the rear view mirror with Escorts hardwire kit and a Blendmount as well. Took about 45 mins. Pretty simple install.

Thanks for responses, really appreciate it. AnisotropyIsKey, I might just take you up on that. I'm about to order the radar, the Escort hardwire kit and the blendmount.

I have a quick question though - did you get the blendmount with the cylindrical stem or the one with the pivot switch/recessed stem? Not sure what the difference is based on the descriptions on the Escort website. Thanks again!

Edit: Actually, looks like I need to buy one off the Blendmount website since there is a specific one for the M3. Did you get the one that is named "BLENDMOUNT ID#-BMW-003"?
