OEM Suspension for E92 same as E90?

Hey all, just wondering if the suspension on the E92 and E90 are the exact same. Any actual spec sheets floating around would be appreciated. Thanks in advance!

No, they aren't the same. It isn't even the same amongst each variant of the m3 i.e. your springs and dampers will differ from another E92 depending on options. Even if 2 E92s had ZCP, their spring rates could differ if there are differences in equipment. The same applies for E90s and E93s.

I think you might be giving BMW too much credit. I think that there may be different part numbers for e90 / e92 M3 suspension and certainly for the e93. I don't know this for a fact, but I highly doubt that BMW would adjust the spring rates depending on the options found on the car.

It is a fact. It says so explicitly in many official BMW technical documents. There are threads on Bimmerpost listing owners' spring rates. Mine with ZCP and DCT has springs marked X7 in the front and X4 at the back - if others with E92 ZCPs would like to list theirs, you'll see a difference if their equipment level is different to mine. Obviously, I'm only listing ZCP as an example, but the differences also apply to EDC or no EDC etc.

Yes, spring rates are different between models and even options the car has.

But they all bolt up and work fine if you swap them from car to car... it just won't be the customized set that BMW originally set up.

what about E90 M3 suspension in a E92 M3? its the same?
