Ex wife poisoning kids against new new wife
My buddy got remarried. He is so upset because he claims his ex wife is doing everything to turn kids against his new wife. He is a standup guy and won't resort to below the belt strategies.
I really don't know how to help him. The kids are 10, 12 and 15. Any advice? |

If your buddy can afford to get married, have 3 kids, get a divorce, and get remarried then i'm sure he can handle his own shit. I had a similar situation growing up but was actually my dad constantly saying shit about my mom after their divorce. It kind of brain washes the kids. Kids grow up and learn what's real and what's not very quickly.
Tell your buddy to have a sit down with all three kids and have a mature conversation. Just be straight up and tell them to judge for themselves. Never say anything negative about their birthmom.

My parents when through a really bad divorce when I was 5. As someone who experienced each parent telling how bad the other one was, I can honestly say the kids will figure it out in a short time who is the real genuine person. It took me a while to realize it because I was so young, but I finally did when I as 10. Divorce is such a chitty thing that I hope no kid ever or should have to experience. I haven't seen my dad since I was 11 when I made the choice to stop visitation.

The advice to not speak ill of your ex-spouse is the best and only advice that can be given. I could not say it better than ideliver. Take the high road. Love your kids more than you hate your ex.
