Anyone else in the Financial Industry HATE MONTH ENDS?

I HATE month end. Long Hours. Lots of Work. 6AM to 10:30PM today. Anyone else have to work Saturday Sunday AND Monday as well?? At least it is overtime, I guess.

Been working day and night all week, and on Sat too. I'm NOT working Monday - screw that.

I'm an auditor though...I audit your "month ends"

I assure you my job is no more fun than yours!

I work in investment management performance reporting. Gotta make sure performance figures look good for all those portfolio managers.

And yes, I would much rather audit. lol

By the way I just got Monday off.

Yup, month end is hellllll.

I used to work for a lender and come month end, we were putting in o/t, and come in on the weekend to get the deal flow caught up.
Of course it didn't help when the Brokers gave us rush deals as well...

I have been doing the drill for years, but at least now I don't do a lot of the heavy lifting. Quarter ends and year-ends are worse for me. Public co reporting and preping for our board/audit committee meetings.

I am a financial analyst at an Air Conditioners manufacturer.. I hate Month ends more than anything else !! longer hours, no overtime, and we have shortage in staff as it's summer and everyone is on vacation :S i haven't even submitted half my reports yet

the pay is preey good, but i am moving to a bank by the begining of 2009, Customer Service Rep

no month ends in there
