No new M6 CSL, which is a shame, because that was one rumour I was hoping to be true.

Efficient Dynamics?!
Efficient Dynamics - what an absolute load of crap.
I don't know anyone diluted enough to buy a BMW for its environmental friendliness. The best BMW's get what, 25 MPG when driven softly on the highway? And when they applied the "efficient dynamics" tag to the M3, that just about made me sick. The thing gets 12 MPG and NO ONE who buys it is under any pretense of driving an environmentally friendly car. BMW needs to embrace what they are - a company that makes excellent cars for people who enjoy driving and driving hard. They are not Toyota, Honda, or any other hybrid making company. They should stop trying to be Al Gore, spewing crap out of his mouth about Going Green and taking his Gulfstream jet any and everywhere.

Once they have started talking about Efficient Dynamics for more than 15 minutes, and only speaking about the 1 series for 20 seconds... I realized this is gonna be a poor debut so I went to bed (I have a lot of exams today)

I would not want to sit in the rear seats with that roofline. There is too much wheel gap IMHO. No one is going to take these cars off pavement, so why pretend? |

I dont wanna burst your bubble, but how often did they say "strategies & figures in Europe"? Considering that we do not get any of the efficient diesels (yet), and all the other little engines in 1 series and 3 series, I am not surprised that the mpg figures for the average BMW in the US are not nearly as good. What do you expect when you say "max 25mpg"? A 400 hp M3 with the Gas Mileage of the Prius? I know that the 335i gets 28-29 on the highway. For 300 hp thats impressive. On the other hand we know its a marketing strategy, and they overstate how well these little changes actually affect the car. Nevertheless, Europe has the most benefits and the really efficient enginges. But soon, I hope, we get some diesels in the US. Best regards, CSL |

Wow
Wow, the X6 is a real beauty. I don't even really like this category of cars (car like SUVs - SAVs I guess, some nonsense like that...)
I do wish I was wowed as much the first time I saw the E92 M3 as I was with this car (or should I say truck, or SAV, whatever). Like music though, many of my favorite all time albums are those that I either passed over the first time, took a long time to warm up to or even flat out did not like upon first listen. |
