Background: I love the BMW Performance v2 steering wheel but don't like the alcantara. After much research, I found a shop that was able to meet my quality and price needs.

Solution: While there are other shops that offer the same upholster service, none had the quality leather I was looking for nor the same shade of black between solid and perforated leather. This was very important to me as having two different shades of black leather bothered my ocd but also made the wheel look tacky & cheap.

The leather from Royal Steering Wheels looks, feels, and smells oem like the e9x m sport wheel.

I am very happy with the turn around time, communication, pricing, and most importantly quality of materials and craftsmanship.

My Order:
-Black nappa smooth leather top & bottom
-Black perforated leather sides
-Black leather 12 o' clock racing stripe (I prefer a more oem look as found on the Porsche PDK steering wheel)
-Black stitching (my ocd kicked in to match oem dct & e-brake boot stitching )
-Increase thickness 1mm
-146 GBP = $228.56 (6/18/13)
*Price included return shipping to NY

Warranty:
-2 Years

Process:
-Shipped wheel from NY 6/3/13
-Wheel delivered 6/6/13

-Shipped wheel from UK 6/17/13
-Wheel delivered 6/18/13

Misc:
-Don't make the same mistake I did and ship your wheel with FedEx or UPS as they both charged me about $250. I realized after I shipped my wheel with FedEx, USPS had the best rate at $80 which includes $650 insurance.
